On February 13th, 2018 the Newport Police Department served a Narcotics related search warrant at a residence located at 2404 NW Nye Street in Newport, Oregon. Officers had received information that Nicholas Colman-Pinning, 33, of Newport, was selling narcotics from this residence and from his vehicle to others in the Newport area. Newport officers applied for and obtained a search warrant.
During the service of the warrant, officers located evidence of drug use and sales. Newport Police deployed their Drug Detection K9, Nero, to assist with the search. Officers located and seized Heroin, Methamphetamine, Ecstasy, Psilocybin Mushrooms, digital scales, packaging material, drug records, and drug use paraphernalia. Officers also seized a large amount of cash and a vehicle.
Newport Police were assisted by Detectives from the Lincoln City Police Department, the Toledo Police Department, and the Oregon state Police.
Two persons were arrested at the scene and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.
