Newberg-Dundee Police to Focus on Distracted Driving Enforcement in April. - 04/04/21

The Newberg-Dundee Police Department will conduct enhanced traffic patrols in April.  The patrols will primarily focus on distracted driving (cell phone use) in pedestrian heavy areas and construction zones.  Drivers distracted by using mobile communication devices in these areas, particularly as Spring weather arrives, are more likely to cause injuries or property damages.  Funding for these extra patrols is made possible through grants and in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation.
