The Newberg-Dundee Police Department conducted a focused traffic enforcement operation in February to address distracted driving issues. That single day operation resulted in 11 citations for distracted driving/cell phone use.
In cooperation with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Newberg-Dundee Police Department will continue to be proactive with distracted driving enforcement and will participate in a nationwide event beginning on April 11, 2019 for “Distracted Driving Awareness Month.”
