North Clackamas Schools Hosting Final School Naming Committee Meeting

On May 3, the North Clackamas Schools (NCSD) School Naming Committee will meet for the final time to recommend names for the new elementary school and the new high school being constructed as a result of the 2016 capital construction bond.
The process for naming these schools began in late 2017, when the NCSD School Board approved creation of the School Naming Committee comprised of parents, students, staff and a historian, to research and recommend names for final approval by the School Board.
Per NCSD policy, the School Naming Committee has considered names of geographic locations, historical events, and individuals who made significant contributions to humanity. Additionally, the committee has sought community feedback, and solicited suggested names from community members, as well.
The meeting will be from 6:30pm – 8:30pm in the media room of the former Campbell Elementary School; 11326 SE 47th Ave., Milwaukie, OR 97222. Public comment will not be taken at this meeting, but comments are being taken until 5pm Tuesday, May 2 here: https://bit.ly/2jj83rU.
