Christopher Alexander Williamson, 28, charged with the murder of Nancy Bergeson
Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill announced that 28-year-old Christopher Alexander Williamson made his first court appearance in Multnomah County Circuit Court on a single count of murder.
The charging document alleges that the defendant, on or about November 24, 2009, in Multnomah County, did unlawfully and intentionally cause the death of Nancy Bergeson.
The defendant waived his right to a probable cause hearing. As such, there is no probable cause affidavit.
As previously stated by the Portland Police Bureau, this investigation started on November 24, 2009 at approximately 3 p.m., when Ms. Bergeson was found deceased in her home at 4146 Southwest Hamilton Street in Portland, Oregon.
An autopsy performed by the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office determined Ms. Bergeson died of homicidal violence.

The defendant’s next court date is set for January 30, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at the Justice Center, Courtroom #3. A bail hearing has not been scheduled.
This case is being prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Don Rees and Deputy District Attorney Todd Jackson.
This remains an ongoing investigation and no additional details will be released.
