Nathan Wayne Moore charged with murdering Dominique Scott Eivers in Southeast Portland
Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Rod Underhill announced 38-year-old Nathan Wayne Moore made his first court appearance an allegation that he unlawfully and intentionally caused the death of 41-year-old Dominique Scott Eivers.
On Monday November 19, 2018, officers with the Portland Police Bureau responded to an apartment complex located in the 13000 block of Southeast Powell Boulevard after receiving a report of a disturbance.
Today, Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Christopher A. Ramras reviewed a probable cause affidavit filed in this case. Judge Ramras determined there is sufficient probable cause to hold Moore in custody at this time.
Pursuant to a request made by this office, Judge Ramras ordered that the affidavit be sealed due to the ongoing investigation.
The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office determined Mr. Scott died from homicidal violence as a result of a gunshot injury.
Moore is charged with one count of murder and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
On November 20, 2018, the defendant appeared before Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Benjamin Souede. Moore was appointed a criminal defense attorney and a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.
The defendant’s next court date is scheduled for November 29, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Multnomah County Justice Center, Courtroom 3.
