Mukilteo School District Ranked Among Top 20 Best Places To Teach (Photo) - 10/22/25

Everett, WA - Mukilteo School District (MSD) has been ranked #19 out of nearly 300 districts in Washington as one of the Best Places to Teach by Niche, placing it firmly in the top 20 statewide for teacher satisfaction, support, and overall work environment.
 

“What makes this district a great place to work is the dedication, passion, and professionalism of the educators and support staff who show up every day for students. Their commitment is what defines the strength of our schools," said Molly Addicott, president of the Mukilteo Education Association. "The District and Association share a common goal: ensuring our schools are places where both students and staff can succeed.”
 

Kamiak High School earned multiple distinctions, ranking among the Top 20 Best College Prep Public High Schools in Washington. It was also recognized as the 26th best high school statewide, out of more than 720 public high schools. Mariner High School placed in the top 25% of Washington high schools, earning a state ranking of #172.


The Niche 2026 Best Public High Schools rankings are based on a variety of key metrics, including state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, teacher quality, and overall high school ratings.
 

Mukilteo School District serves more than 15,000 students across Mukilteo, South Everett, and portions of Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mill Creek, and Snohomish County.
