Incident:                       Suspicious Death

 

Date and Time:             Thursday November 10, 2022 at 5:00pm

 

Location:                       400 block of Yellowstone Dr, Monmouth, OR 97361

 

Summary:        

 

Monmouth Police Department is investigating a suspicious death in the City of Monmouth.

 

On Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 4:17pm, Monmouth officers were dispatched to a welfare check call in the 400 block of Yellowstone Dr.  When officers arrived they found an adult female, who has been identified as 62 year old Theresa Hethorn, deceased inside her home.  Due to the suspicious circumstances, the Monmouth Police Department requested the assistance from the Polk County Major Crimes team to help investigate.

 

The Medical Examiner and OSP Crime Lab also responded.

 

The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
