On February 1,2024 at approximately 9:16pm, a Molalla Police officer was on routine patrol when he noticed a vehicle after hours in a local park. The officer contacted the driver, identified to be 28-year-old Peter Collins Simpson. A juvenile found in the back seat of the vehicle was interviewed leading to the arrest of Simpson who is charged with two counts of Sex Abuse III. 

Further investigation found that Simpson was employed by the Boy Scouts of America. Boy Scouts of America was notified and is cooperating with the investigation. The juvenile identified in the incident is not associated with the Boy Scouts of America.
