2- Vehicle Injury Crash SE Mcloughlin Blvd And SE 17th Ave. - 08/30/26

Milwaukie OR – At approximately 1:40 AM on 8/30/26, A Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office Deputy on routine patrol reported to Milwaukie Police a two-vehicle crash had occurred at the intersection of SE Mcloughlin Blvd. and SE 17th Ave. The Deputy reported a sedan travelling Southbound on SE Mcloughlin at a rate of high speed struck another SUV passenger vehicle at the intersection of SE 17th Ave.

Officers arrived to assist the Deputy in assessing and attending to injured drivers along with Clackamas Fire. All three occupants of the SUV were transported to local hospitals, two with serious injuries. The driver of the sedan was also transported with moderate injuries.

 

Clackamas County Crime Reconstruction and Forensic Technicians (CRAFT) arrived to assess and investigate the crash scene. Initial findings indicate the speeding sedan failed to stop at a red light on SE Mcloughlin Blvd and struck the SUV, which was in the process of making a legal turn across oncoming lanes traffic. Speed is considered a factor in this crash.

The Intersection was closed for several hours while CRAFT investigators processed the scene and was opened. CRAFT is a County wide interagency crime scene forensic team comprised of Law Enforcement Officers and Crime Scene Technicians including a Milwaukie Police Officer.
