MILWAUKIE POLICE RESPOND TO A REPORTED STABBING DOWNTOWN

On 6/5/2021 at approximately 7:25 pm, Officers responded to the report of a stabbing near the intersection of SE Main Street and SE Jackson Street in the City of Milwaukie. When Officers arrived on scene, a 42-year-old male, who had been stabbed several times, told officers that the subject who stabbed him was currently walking away northbound on SE Main Street towards SE Harrison Street. The stabbing suspect was described to be wearing blue jeans, a black hat and tan jacket. The victim also advised officers that the suspect took his 9mm semi-automatic handgun before walking away.
Officers contacted the suspect near SE Harrison Street and SE 21st Avenue and took him into custody without incident. A silver and black Taurus 9mm handgun and folding pocketknife was removed from the suspect and seized as evidence. Officers identified the suspect to be, 41-year-old Keeandre J. Scott.
The stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital with serious life-threatening injuries but is expected to recover. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time. Keeandre J. Scott was lodged at the Clackamas County Jail on the following charges: Attempted Murder, Robery I, Theft I, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful use of a Weapon.
