Case 20-4502 Update - Detectives seek additional information (Photo) - 07/03/20

CASE: 20-4502

DATE: 7/3/2020

On 7/2/2020 at approximately 12:06 pm, 2-year-old Jack Barrett was struck by an unknown vehicle which sadly resulted in his death.

Detectives yesterday afternoon were able to eliminate the white two door truck as a vehicle of interest, which was reported to them by a neighbor. The truck was eliminated as a vehicle of interest after review of nearby video collected and timelines.

Today, Milwaukie detectives are specifically looking for any additional information from the other drivers who were on SE Wichita Avenue between the times of 11:30 am and 12:15 pm yesterday. This additional information can greatly enhance timelines, leads and information detectives are currently looking into.

This is an extremely sad and difficult time for the family, and they continue to be in our thoughts as we work through this tragic incident.

Drivers who were on SE Wichita Avenue during the timeline provided, or anyone with information regarding the incident, are requested to call the non-emergency dispatch number 503-786-7500 and ask to speak with detectives.
