Medford Police Arrest 18-Year-Old Following Stabbing on Greenwood Street

 

Medford, Ore. — On June 12, 2026, at approximately 1:03 p.m., Medford Police officers responded to the 1800 block of Greenwood Street for a report of a stabbing.

 

Officers arrived to a chaotic scene and located a 40-year-old male victim on the sidewalk near the residence suffering from a stab wound to the upper arm. Officers immediately provided medical aid by applying a tourniquet while additional officers made contact with the suspect inside the residence.

 

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Trenton Furrey, was taken into custody without incident. The victim and suspect are related, and the victim was identified as the suspect’s stepfather. Medford detectives responded to the scene and assisted with the investigation. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and obtained additional evidence related to the case.

 

Furrey was later transported to the Medford Police Department for an interview. At the conclusion of the interview, he was lodged at the Jackson County Jail on charges of Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the Second Degree.

 

This case remains under investigation. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
