Update- Road Closures On West Stayton Road Due To Field Fire - 08/03/26
UPDATE: Stayton, Ore. - The fire has been extinguished. West Stayton Road SE remains closed between Stayton Road SE and Darley Road SE due to debris and downed power poles blocking the roadway. The road closure is expected to remain in effect until the debris has been cleared and utility crews have completed repairs.
Stayton, Ore. - West Stayton Road SE near Stayton is closed between Stayton Road SE and Darley Road SE due to a large-scale response due to an active fire scene. Deputies have made door to door notifications at residences directly impacted by the fire, the road closure is expected to remain in effect for an extended period of time.
In consultation with the Stayton Fire District, no evacuations outside of the immediate area are being issued at this time.
