On November 29th, 2019, deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle vs. tractor crash on Lakeside Dr. NE. Danny Stacey, 71 of Salem, was the sole occupant of the Honda Civic and was pronounced as deceased at the scene.

At approximately 6:34 pm on November 29th, 2019, deputies were dispatched to the report of a vehicle vs. tractor crash on Lakeside Dr. NE, Salem. When emergency services arrived at the crash, they found a Honda Civic with significant damage. The driver of the Honda Civic was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the tractor was not injured in the crash.
Lakeside Dr. NE near Portland Rd NE is closed to traffic due to investigation at this time. The identity of the driver is not being released at this time pending notification of the next of kin.
During this response the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Marion County Fire District.
