Search and Rescue Responding to Whitewater Creek Trail ***Final Update*** (Photo) - 08/09/19

On August 8th at 4:18 pm, the Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to assist a female hiker experiencing a complication from a pre-existing medical condition.  Shortly after midnight, a ground team from Search and Rescue were able to reach the hiker.  The ground team set up camp and stayed the night with the hiker and the others from her group.

Riders from the Mounted Posse were able to reach the ground team around 10:00 am this morning.  They assisted with extracting the hiker from the wilderness area.  The hiker is in good condition and did not need emergency medical treatment.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank our Search and Rescue volunteers for their efforts to help the hiker safely exit the wilderness.
