This Saturday, March 17th, deputies with the Marion county Sheriff's Office will be working extra hours to provide patrols during St. Patrick's Day. Deputies will be patrolling your Marion County roadways in an effort to detect and arrest intoxicated drivers.
Did you know that according to the Nation Highway Traffic Safety Administration that; In 2016 alone, 60 people were killed in drunk-driving crashes during the St. Paddy's Day holiday period (6 p.m. March 16 to 5:59 a.m. March 18). That is why the Sheriff's Office is asking all of our residents and visitors to please plan ahead and drive sober.
