Vancouver WA – Nonprofits serving the Pacific Northwest will receive more than $15.4 million following the most recent collection of grants awarded by The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust. The Murdock Trust approved funding in support of 85 specific projects, including grants totaling nearly $4 million to organizations serving the state of Washington, such as 5th Avenue Theatre Association, Construction for Change, Dungeness River Audubon Center, Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, SAMBICA, The University Heights Center for the Community, Washington State University, and World Relief Seattle.

“From helping refugees find community and build a home to supporting vulnerable children to addressing the mental health needs of our neighbors, these grants represent the critical work that countless nonprofits, corporate foundations, family foundations and volunteers are coming together with representatives of the business, government, healthcare, faith and education sectors to address in creative and sustainable ways,” said Steve Moore, executive director, M.J.
