Two Arrested During Financial Crimes Investigation; Guns And Drugs Seized (Photo) - 11/09/23

On November 8, 2023, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Detectives Unit, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and the U.S. Marshals Service served a search warrant at a residence in Northeast Portland related to a financial crimes investigation. During the search, commercial quantities of cocaine and fentanyl and two firearms were seized.

44-year-old Paul Hall was arrested and booked on one count of Possession of Weapon (firearm) by a Felon.

46-year-old James Hartley was arrested and booked on 12 counts of Aggravated Identity Theft, 11 counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, 4 counts of Theft in the First Degree, and single counts of Laundering a Monetary Instrument, Unlawful Delivery of Cocaine (attempted), Unlawful Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance (fentanyl), and Possession of Weapon (firearm) by a Felon.

The investigation, led by MCSO’s Detectives Unit, is ongoing.
