Two deputies injured while breaking up fight in Troutdale, three suspects facing charges - 07/11/21

At 6:41 p.m., Saturday, July 10, Multnomah County Sheriff’s patrol deputies responded to a physical fight involving several people at the McMenamins Edgefield parking lot in Troutdale. It was reported that approximately four men and three women, who were extremely intoxicated, were refusing to leave the property, fighting and threatening security. When a deputy arrived to separate the individuals, several of them began assaulting the deputy. The deputy was hit in the face multiple times and knocked unconscious. The individuals continued to fight with additional arriving deputies. Eventually, all individuals involved were detained.

The injured deputy was transported to the hospital with head injuries. The deputy was released overnight and is recovering at home. A second deputy reported minor injuries to their hands and arms and received medical attention on scene.

Due to the severity of the incident, MCSO detectives responded and opened an investigation. After gathering witness statements, three people were charged.

Booked into Multnomah County jail:

Alverta Rosales, female, age 31

  • Assaulting a public safety officer
  • Interfering with a peace officer
  • Resisting arrest

Jose Dolores Martinez Calixto, male, age 31

  • Two counts of assaulting a public safety officer
  • Resisting Arrest

Issued a criminal citation:

Mitchell Calixto, male, age 38

  • Assaulting a public safety officer
  • Interfering with a peace officer
  • Resisting arrest

Mitchell Calixto, was transported to the hospital for injuries. He has since been released.

Detectives continue to investigate and more charges may be filed. The investigation is ongoing, and no further comment will be made at this time.
