Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Investigating a pedestrian vs. train death in Troutdale - 11/04/19

On Saturday, November 2nd, at approximately 5:50 PM the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Union Pacific Police, and AMR responded to a call of a pedestrian being fatally struck by a Union Pacific train in Troutdale Or., near the Historic Columbia River Hwy.

The Vehicular Crimes Team responded to the scene and conducted a crash investigation.

Due to the deceased being 17yrs old and the family’s request, we are not releasing the person’s name.

Union Pacific and MCSO would ask all to stay off the railroad tracks and only cross in public crossing areas.

This is an open investigation; therefore, there are no further details available at this time.
