***UPDATE*** Missing Elderly Woman FOUND - 12/18/18

On Monday 12/17/2018 at approximately 12:15 p.m. Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) teams, working alongside searchers from Mountain Wave Search and Rescue, Pacific NW Search and Rescue, and Washington County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue discovered a deceased female, later identified as Marie Helena Evans. Ms. Evans’s was found near the bank of the Columbia River, south of her home. Preliminary reports indicate that Ms. Evans died from a combination of exposure to the weather and poor physical health, and there were no signs of foul play.

MCSO detectives are involved and will be doing a death investigation.  The Ms. Evans's body has been turned over to the Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office.  No further details are available at this time.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating 76-year-old MARIE HELENA EVANS.  Ms. EVANS was last seen on 12/15/18 while walking near her residence at 13004 NW Marina Way in northwest Multnomah County.  It is unknown what clothing Ms. EVANS was wearing when she left for her walk.

Ms. EVANS suffers from early onset dementia and wears glasses.  She is 5'4" tall, weighs 150 pounds and has white hair.
