MCSO Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, May 16 (Photo) - 05/15/18

This Wednesday, May 16, 2018, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office will honor our fallen deputies who have given their lives in the performance of their duties at our Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony. The public and media are invited to attend.

Wednesday, May 16

1:00 p.m.

Troutdale Police Community Center

234 SW Kendall Court, Troutdale OR

Established in 1962 by a joint resolution of Congress, National Police Week honors those law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day, and the calendar week which May 15 falls as National Police Week. Agencies across the state and nation come together to honor our fallen.

In addition to the memorial service, there will be a short ceremony to honor Deputy Sheriff Ernest C. Loll on May 16, 2018, at 9.00 a.m., when a wreath will be placed at the Loll Memorial on SW 35th and SW Arnold in Portland, near the location where he was ambushed in September 1935.
