*Update* MCSO Deputies Investigating an Alleged Kidnapping in Bridal Veil (Photo) - 03/07/18

*Update*

At 12:31 a.m., the suspect in this case, Douglas L. Braaten, age 61 of La Center, WA, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center. Braaten has been charged with Prostitution (misdemeanor) and Unlawful Sexual Penetration I (felony). Detectives are still investigating this case and no additional details are available at this time.

At 7:35pm, MCSO Deputies responded to a call where a female reported that she had been kidnapped. GPS location of the callers cell phone indicated the female was in the area of Bridal Veil. After checking the area, Deputies were able to locate the involved vehicle. The occupants were contacted and a male occupant was detained for questioning. MCSO Detectives were activated to investigate the alleged kidnapping. No additional information is available at this time.
