On February 13, 2018, Bryce Merrill was booked into MCDC on Identity Theft and Official Misconduct charges. The arrest stemmed from a criminal investigation into Mr. Merrill for allegedly forging internal MCSO documents. Mr. Merrill has been placed on unpaid administrative leave status pending an internal Administrative Review.
