MCSO hosts annual Community Transitional School Holiday Party (Photo) - 12/13/17

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is honored to host the 2017 Community Transitional School Holiday Party. This year's festivities take place Thursday, December 14, 2017 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Multnomah County Inverness Jail (12240 NE Inverness Drive, Portland, OR).

The Community Transitional School is committed to provide at-risk children from Portland and East Multnomah County with a stable educational environment that promotes academic and personal growth. During the holidays, the School provides services and resources for gifts to families that may not otherwise receive them. Members of the Sheriff's Office generously provide gifts for the students to open during the party. Other highlights of the party will also include; caroling with Sheriff's Office staff, a clown act, a pizza lunch, and a special visit from Santa!

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office proudly partners with the Wilson High School Leadership Group, Multnomah County Sheriff's Office Management Association, Multnomah County Corrections Deputy Association, Multnomah County Deputy Sheriff's Association, AFSCME Local 88, Multnomah County Corrections Health, Multnomah County Judges, and Aramark to provide this wonderful experience for children in our community who are in need during the holidays.

Media is cordially invited; those interested in attending are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 a.m., check in at the public entrance of the Inverness Jail, and ask for Lt. Marc Shrake.

More information about the Community Transitional School can be found at https://www.transitionalschool.org/ .
