MCSO is following up on information related to last night's shooting incident on Sauvie Island.

Detectives are still investigating this incident and we will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

**Update**

On Tuesday, 12/12/17, at approximately 7 p.m., the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office received a report of a shooting on Sauvie Island near the Sauvie Island Community Church. MCSO deputies and emergency medical first responders arrived at the church and located the victim, who was immediately transported to an area hospital.

MCSO detectives responded and learned that the victim made his way to the church for medical assistance from a nearby field. The victim is not a member of the Sauvie Island Community Church and the Church's only association to the victim was an initial point of contact with good Samaritans that provided medical aid and called 911. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and is in stable condition. There appears to be no threat to the public.

MCSO detectives are actively investigating this shooting and no further details are available at this time.

We are seeking the public's assistance. If you have information that could be related to this shooting, please call the MCSO Tip Line at 503-988-0560.
