Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports the body found last weekend along the Santiam River in the Mill City area has been identified.  The body was found at the river’s edge by someone walking in the area on Sunday, April 18th. 

The body was positively identified through dental records as Isaac Pond, 21, from Mill City.  Pond left his residence in Mill City on foot after a disagreement with his family on December 31, 2020. 

An autopsy was performed, and no evidence of foul play was found.  Detectives are continuing to investigate a possible cause of death.  Anyone with information who may have seen Pond after his disappearance is encouraged to contact Detective Steve Frambes at (541) 967-3950.
