**Update** Sheriff Yon Reports Arrest in Drive-By Shooting in Millersburg - 04/28/21

***Update***

Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports that today his detectives arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile in connection to a drive-by shooting that occurred in Millersburg on February 27, 2021.  The juvenile was taken to the Linn-Benton Juvenile Detention Facility and lodged on the following the charges; Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the Second Degree, Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Assault in the Second Degree, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

It was initially reported there were multiple shots into a duplex on Waverly Drive in Millersburg.  Bullets penetrated the home, nearly missing two people.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is encouraged to contact Detective Matt Wilcox at (541) 967-3950.

Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies are investigating a drive-by shooting in Milllersburg.  The Linn County Sheriff’s Office received a report of multiple shots at 7:01 p.m. last night.  It was learned shots were fired into a duplex in the 4300 block of Waverly Drive.  Bullets penetrated the home, nearly missing two people. 
 

Thankfully, no one was injured.  During the initial investigation, it was unclear if the two people were the suspect’s intended target.  The investigation is ongoing and there is not a known threat to the general public.
