Serious Motor Vehicle Crash update - 03/11/19

Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports his deputies are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Sodaville road and Cascade drive near Lebanon.  The intersection has been closed for several hours as the investigation continues.  Please avoid the area.  Information will be released as it becomes available.

On March 3rd, 2019 Linn County Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Cascade Drive and Sodaville Road near Lebanon. Johnie Isabell III, 46 of Sweet Home, was traveling east on Cascade Drive and failed to stop and yield at the stop sign at Sodaville road.  Kelley Perry, 62 of Lebanon, was traveling north on Sodaville Road when she struck Isabell III’s vehicle.  She struck the passenger side as it crossed in front of her, causing significant damage to both vehicles.

Perry was transported to the Lebanon Hospital with life threatening injuries and was then transferred to Portland for extensive treatment regarding her injuries.  Perry has since died from her injuries.  Isabell III and his passenger, Isabell IV, reported no injuries.  Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the MAIT team to include the Lebanon Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.

The correct date on the crash is March 8th.
