Linn County Public Health Confirms 10 Positive Test Results associated with National Frozen Foods - 04/24/20

Linn County Public Health reports ten people associated with National Frozen Foods Corporation’s plant in Albany, tested positive for COVID-19.  Eight were employees at the facility and two others were associated with those employees.  Linn County Public Health and Oregon Health Authority are working with National Frozen Foods on response efforts.  This includes closure of production at the facility for a time period to be determined, as well as testing of additional employees who are reporting illness.  Employees of National Frozen Foods will be notified by their employer regarding how to receive testing and the next steps of the process.

County Commissioner Will Tucker stated, “We are sympathetic to the employees and their families at National Frozen Foods.  Our health officials are committed to working with the company and OHA to restart production in a manner that will ensure the safety of the workers.”

Linn County Public Health wants to remind the public to remain vigilant with social distancing, hand washing and following the Oregon Health Authority’s recommendations so we can all remain healthy.
