Concerned Citizen’s Report Leads To Arrests After Ev Charging Station Theft (Photo)

On July 31, 2026, around 1:00 AM, a concerned citizen witnessed subjects actively cutting Electric Vehicle chargers at the Lincoln City Outlet Mall and immediately notified LCPD. Officers surrounded the Outlet Mall and intercepted the suspects as they were leaving in a blue Honda Ridgeline. Both suspects were taken into custody without further incident. A search warrant was obtained and executed, leading to the recovery of over two dozen heavy-duty electric vehicle charging cables and a list of targets throughout Lincoln and Marion Counties.
The two suspects were lodged on the following charges into the Lincoln County Jail: Criminal Conspiracy, Theft 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Possession of Burglar Tools, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Fentanyl.
