News Release
Threats - 05/18/18

On May 18, 2018, the Lebanon Police Department received information that a student reported seeing another student with what appeared to be a handgun at the Lebanon High School.  The school was immediately placed into lockdown and emergency services were called. As a preventative measure, other area schools were also placed on lockout at the time.

Lebanon Police Department officers responded with the assistance of Oregon State Police, Linn County Sheriff’s Office, ATF, and Sweet Home Police Department.  The entire area surrounding the Lebanon High School and the interior of the school were searched room-by-room, simultaneously.  There have been no reports of shots fired, or injuries; however, we are currently tracking down numerous reports and sources of information.  This is an active investigation and we will provide periodic updates when it is appropriate to release information.
