Pedestrian vs Vehicle Crash - 02/08/18

On Thursday, February 08, 2018 at approximately 6:55am the Lebanon Police Department and Lebanon Fire Department responded to a pedestrian Vs vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Tangent Street and 5th Street, Lebanon, Oregon.

When personnel arrived, they located a 15 year old juvenile female lying in the bicycle lane with injuries. Paramedics tended to the juvenile and then transported her to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Oregon. Officers contacted the driver and passenger of the vehicle that struck the juvenile. Officers also contacted witnesses and controlled traffic in the intersection.

The driver of the vehicle, 65 year old John Pitts of Waterloo, remained on scene and was fully cooperative with the investigation.

The investigation is still ongoing but at this time, alcohol, drugs, and speed do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The extent of the juveniles injuries are still not known at this time.

If you have any information regarding this crash, please contact Detective Justin McCubbins at (541) 258-4346.
