FlashAlert utilizes the free service Twitter to distribute emergency text messages. While you are welcome to register your cell phone text message address directly into the FlashAlert system, we recommend that you simply "follow" the FlashAlert account for Lane Co. Emergency calls should be made to 9-1-1.

Original release:
The non-emergency phone line (541-682-4150) for the Lane County Sheriff’s Office is down. Residents who need to reach the Sheriff’s Office should call 541-682-4141 instead. Emergency calls should still be directed to 9-1-1; the 9-1-1 system is not affected.
There is currently no estimate for the length of time it will take to repair the non-emergency phone line. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is working with the provider to correct the issue.
An update will be sent once the main non-emergency number is working again.
