Cedar Creek Fire Evacuation Level Increases - Greater Oakridge / Westfir areas moved to LEVEL 3 (GO NOW) - 09/09/22



The Cedar Creek Fire is prompting Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuation notifications in the Oakridge, Westfir and High Prairie areas, both within city limits and in the surrounding unincorporated areas.

Level 3 means leave immediately! Do NOT take time to gather things. GO NOW!


There is immediate and imminent danger and you should evacuate immediately.  DO NOT delay leaving your property to gather any belongings or make efforts to protect your home.  Drive carefully, turn on your headlights, and follow any directions from public safety personnel.  

Residents are advised to travel west.

If you choose to ignore this notice, public safety personnel may not be available to assist you further.

Those evacuating are encouraged to go to the Temporary Evacuation Point at Lane Community College (4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene). The Temporary Evacuation Point is located in Building 16. 

Lane Transit District is providing buses to help people who do not have transportation to evacuate. The buses will be staged at: 

  • Oakridge High School (47997 W 1st St.)
  • First Baptist Church (47606 School St.)

Public safety personnel cannot guarantee they will be able to notify you if conditions rapidly deteriorate. Continue to closely monitor your phone, local media and for information.  The non-emergency Lane County Cedar Creek Fire Information Line is 541-682-3977.
