SWWA LULAC is saddened to find the worse case scenario has become a military families reality. tragic and brutal death of Spc. Vanessa Guillen at the hands of male superiors and peers brings to mind atrocities we presumed were behind us of brutal rape and torture in Ft. Hood, Tx.
All for one and One for all, no family left behind. This has been our motto since 1929 and we stand today in solidarity with this familiy and our nation's latinas whose challenge we bring a much needed awareness.
Our LULAC family mourns the death and pray the parents will find the grace to deal with this tragedy.
LULAC expects the might and power of the US government and military do the right thing- investigate, mitigate and correct this ongoing issue on the us bases that should protect all that wear the uniform of the USA.
LULAC along with the National Womens Veterans & Service Women Associations are asking that we, as a country, demand action and provide support to this family as they mourn this horrific loss.
Look for more action from SWWA League of United Latin Americans to honor this woman and find justice for her and her family.
