Fatal Traffic Crash Logsden Road Siletz, OR (Photo) - 06/06/19

On June 5, 2019 at 5:48 PM the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was notified of a single vehicle traffic crash near mile post 3 on Logsden Road in Siletz. The preliminary investigation revealed three juvenile occupants (driver and two passengers) were west bound on Logsden road when the driver lost control of the pickup truck while negotiating a curve. The vehicle left the roadway and one male juvenile was ejected from the truck. Lifesaving efforts were attempted by first responders and EMS however the juvenile was pronounced deceased at the scene. The deceased juvenile was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. 

The driver and passenger (who reported they were wearing their seatbelts) were taken to Samaritan Pacific Community Hospital for minor injuries related to the crash. 

Logsden Road was closed intermittently for approximately 5 hours during this time. The crash remains under investigation. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Siletz Fire Department, Newport Police Department and Toledo Police Department.
