Patrol Saturation near Siletz (Photo) - 08/10/18

On August 8th, 2018 a saturation patrol was conducted in the area of the city of Siletz involving several deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and the Newport Police Department.  During the operation several traffic stops were conducted.  One of the traffic stops led to evidence of drug possession.  The Newport Police Department K-9, Nero, was utilized and provided a positive hit near the left headlight of the car leading to the discovery of an ounce of Methamphetamine hidden under the hood of the vehicle.  Phillip Mark Shoemaker, age 43 of Newport, was arrested without incident and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he was lodged on charges of Unlawful Possession, Delivery within 1000 feet of a School, and Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Heroin, and Felon in Possession of a Weapon with a total bail of $500,000.00.

Also during this saturation Lincoln Tylar Lewelling age 34, of Siletz, was contacted on Judd Rd. near Old River Rd. and found to have two valid warrants out of Benton County. He was arrested and transported to the Lincoln County Jail where he lodged on a no bail warrant.
