Lane County To Host Community-Wide Panel Discussion On Stabilization Center Updates; Topical Listening Sessions To Follow - 12/02/22

Eugene, OR—Lane County is hosting a panel discussion on December 8th from 12-1 p.m. in the Bascom-Tykeson room at the Downtown Eugene Library (100 W. 10th Ave) to communicate and discuss new developments in the plan to build a 24/7 mental health stabilization center. The panel discussion will also have virtual option. 

The panel was chosen to include representatives from a broad array of agencies that are involved in the planning and implementation of the stabilization center. Panel members include Lane County Stabilization Center Project Manager, Britni D’Elisio, Lane County Commissioner, Laurie Trieger, Eugene Police Department Captain, Doug Mozan, ColumbiaCare Regional Administrator, Tim Black, Oregon Family Support Network South Region Peer Coach, Debra Depew, and will be moderated by Lane County Health & Human Services Public Information Officer, Jason Davis. 

The program will include a brief overview of the project, an introduction of the panelists, and a question and answer discussion with the panelists. Updates to be covered in the project updates portion include site selection, timeline updates, program considerations, and the plan for ongoing community engagement.

Both the in-person and virtual options are open to all. Lunch will be provided at the in-person option at the Eugene Library at 11:45.
