Lane County Public Health COVID-19 Case/Vaccination Update: Live Virtual Press Conference at 10:30 - 02/18/21

Lane County Public Health (LCPH) was notified of at least 41 additional positive cases of COVID-19.This makes a total of  ?nine thousand nine hundred and seventy cases. Fifty nine thousand five hundred and ninety five vaccine doses administered.

*In addition to being joined by University of Oregon, Dr. Patrick Luedtke will be speaking about second dose timing*

9,970 (+41) total cases-  Note that this includes confirmed and presumptive.


Of our cases (confirmed and presumptive): 

Hospitalized: 20

·ICU: 6 (of the 20)

Deaths: 121

Infectious: 173 (-18)

Persons Under Monitoring: 427

Total persons fully vaccinated: 15,098 (+313)
Total persons received first dose only: 28,738 (+741)
Total doses administered: 59,595 (+1,370)

Percentage of Lane County population fully vaccinated: 3.95%

Testing: OHA is now excluding negative labs from Opera in an effort to improve performance. This includes historic negative labs.

The State of Oregon has created a COVID-19 web page with resources at

High Risk Individuals who had contact with these community members will be contacted by Lane County Public Health so they can work with their health care providers on next steps. Communicable disease investigations are underway. If a public contact exposure point is identified, that information will be shared with the public.

* Presumptive cases are people without a positive PCR test who have COVID-19-like symptoms and had close contact with a confirmed case. Though not confirmed by a positive diagnostic test, presumptive cases have a high likelihood of having COVID-19 because of the specific nature of the symptoms and known exposure.
