News Release
Mt. Pisgah and several other Lane County parks closed due to fire danger - 09/11/20

Howard Buford Recreation Area, also known as Mt. Pisgah, remains closed to all visitors, including the Arboretum and river trails, until further notice.

The low humidity, dry conditions, high temperatures and wind pose a significant risk of wildfire in the park. The park will remain closed until conditions improve.

No visitors will be allowed entry to the park. Entrances will remain barricaded until the closure is lifted. Lane County Parks asks residents to respect the closure of the park for their own safety.

Additionally, Archie Knowles Campground, Mercer Lake Park, Konnie Memorial Park, Siuslaw Falls Park and Tide Wayside are closed until further notice because they are on, or border, the Siuslaw National Forest, which is closed due to high fire danger.

Finally, any Lane County parks or boat ramps located in an evacuation zone (at any level) remain closed.
