Technical Rescue Training Planned Near Moore Park In Klamath Falls

On Monday, July 20, 2026, Klamath County Fire District 1 will be conducting a technical rescue training exercise in the area of Moore Park and Lakeshore Drive in Klamath Falls. Training activities will take place throughout the morning and are being conducted in cooperation with the Klamath County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police, and the Oregon Department of Forestry.
Those in the area may notice a significant public safety presence, including emergency vehicles, rescue boats, and large aircraft operating throughout the exercise. This is a planned training event, and there is no emergency.
Training with our regional partners strengthens our ability to respond safely and effectively to complex rescue incidents while enhancing coordination between agencies that serve our community.
