On 5-19-23 at 1200 hours Kelso Police, with the assistance of Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office, responded to a domestic violence complaint involving a firearm. Officers arrived on scene and located three deceased bodies, 75 year-old Kelso resident Mark Beam, 74 year-old Kelso resident Candice Beam and Mark & Candice Beam's 29 year-old grandson, Isaac Beam.  All three parties died from gunshot wounds.  There is no evidence or reason to believe any other parties were involved in this incident.

The Cowlitz County Coroner's Office coordinated autopsies of each decedent and the findings are attached in a separate document authored by Cowlitz County Coroner Dana Tucker.

Kelso Detectives are continuing to investigate this incident to determine motive as well answer questions about contributing factors that led to this outcome.
