Veteran Keizer Police Officers Retire - 04/20/21

Sgt. Greg Barber

Sgt. Barber was hired by the Keizer Police Department on May 17, 1993, and retired on February 25, 2021. Before being hired by the Keizer Police Department, Sgt. Barber served in the U.S. Air Force and was a reserve officer with the Monmouth Police Department. Sgt. Barber served in many capacities: field training officer, department trainer, School Resource Officer, detective, patrol sergeant, K9 unit supervisor, Honor Guard, and the School Resource Officer program supervisor.

Lt. Bob Trump

Lt. Trump was hired by the Keizer Police Department on January 3, 1993, and will retire on May 1, 2021. Before being hired by the Keizer Police Department, Lt. Trump was a reserve officer with the Portland Police Bureau. Lt. Trump served in many capacities: field training officer, department trainer and training coordinator, traffic team member, detective, patrol sergeant, Community Response Unit sergeant, detective sergeant, and lieutenant.

We wish both officers the best of luck in their future endeavors and thank them for their many years of quality service!
