League of Minority Voters brings bipartisan leaders together for State of Civil Rights Forum Oct. 29

Relay Resources serves as presenting sponsor and Accessibility Partner for Portland gathering

PORTLAND, Ore. — Oct. 26, 2026 — The League of Minority Voters Oregon Chapter will host its 19th annual State of Civil Rights Forum on Thursday, Oct. 29, bringing together leaders across political parties and community sectors to examine civil rights in America and opportunities to address systemic barriers.

The forum takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Portland. More than 150 participants are expected, representing politics, faith, business and advocacy groups. The evening will feature keynote presentations, and opportunities to hear from candidates for public office.

“Civil rights affect whether people can participate fully in their communities, make their voices heard and access opportunities. This forum brings people across political differences into the same room to listen, identify barriers and discuss how we can move forward together,” said Promise King, CEO/Founder of League of Minority Voters.

Relay Resources, a disability-centered, Portland-based nonprofit that collaborates with employers to build disability-inclusive workplaces, is the forum’s presenting sponsor and Accessibility Partner. Its participation underscores the connection between disability rights and the broader work of ensuring equal access and opportunity.

The partnership builds on the League’s recognition of Relay Resources CEO Dr. Jennifer Camota Luebke, who received its 2026 Civil Rights Champion Award at the Liberty & Hope Awards celebration on May 14.

The forum reflects the League’s commitment to nonpartisan civic education, bipartisan dialogue and connecting minority and underrepresented communities with information, institutions and opportunities for meaningful participation.
