League of Minority Voters: Don't Let Confusion or Frustration Keep You from Voting

Oregon's vote-by-mail system remains in place for the November 3 election. Plan, vote early, and make your voice heard.

 

PORTLAND, Ore. — September 30, 2026

 

For Oregonians who feel unheard, overlooked, or frustrated by government and politics, the League of Minority Voters has a simple message as the November 3 election approaches: Don't give up your voice.

 

Confusing headlines about mail-in voting and recent court decisions have created uncertainty. Some voters may be questioning whether participating will make a difference. LMV encourages voters to stay engaged and cast their ballot.

 

Promise King, President, League of Minority Voters: “People have legitimate reasons to feel frustrated or disconnected from our political system. We are not asking anyone to ignore those feelings. We are asking them not to surrender their voice because of them.”

 

What Oregon Voters Need to Know

  • Oregon voters can continue to vote by mail in the 2026 general election.
  • Eligible voters will receive ballots by mail.
  • Completed ballots can be returned by mail or at an official ballot drop box.
  • The November ballot includes decisions affecting schools, neighborhoods, housing, public safety, health, transportation, businesses, and families.
  • Voting helps communities make their priorities visible.

Make a Plan to Vote

  • Check Your Registration: The deadline to register is October 13, 2026. Verify your registration and address now.
  • Look for Your Ballot: Ballots begin mailing October 14. Contact your county elections office if you do not receive yours.
