Hundreds of Kaiser Permanente Northwest employees participate in Martin Luther King Jr. Days of Service

When:
Monday, January 15
10 a.m.-3 p.m.
2:50 p.m.: Kaiser Permanente Northwest President Ruth Brinkley will give closing remarks

Where:
Clark County Food Bank, 6502 NE 47th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98661

What:
Clark County Food Bank is a regional food bank that distributes 6 million pounds of food and 5 million meals a year. They partner with over 35 local agencies and programs to serve the food insecure in our community.

Visuals:
There is an opportunity to capture still photos and video of employees completing a variety of tasks including sorting, packaging, and stocking food items for the food bank.

Background:
For the 14th consecutive year, Kaiser Permanente physicians, dentists and staff are celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. day by rolling up their sleeves in remembrance of Dr. King's commitment to community service.

From Friday, January 12 through Thursday, January 18, more than 1100 Kaiser Permanente employees, friends, and family members will volunteer at a total of 49 service projects across the Northwest region.
