Kaiser Permanente NW Rated Highest For Commercial And Medicare Plans - 09/17/26
Kaiser Permanente Northwest has been recognized as the highest rated commercial and Medicare health plan in Oregon and SW Washington by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in 2026. The Northwest is proud of its leadership position when it comes to providing expert, coordinated care and exceptional service.
The NCQA annual report, released September 2026, rates Kaiser Permanente Northwest’s private (commercial) and Medicare health plans as the highest among competitors’ plans. Kaiser Permanente Northwest has consistently ranked at the top of the market in Oregon and SW Washington for providing quality health care coverage and care to its more than 600,000 members.

According to the latest NCQA Report, the performance breakdown for Kaiser Permanente Northwest is:
- Commercial Plan: Earned a 4.5 out of 5 stars rating, placing it as the highest-rated commercial health plan in Oregon and SW Washington.
- Medicare Plan: Earned a 4.5 out of 5 stars rating, standing out as one of the top-performing Medicare options across regional competitors.
The NCQA’s annual report helps health care consumers and regulators assess the quality and effectiveness of health plans. Ratings evaluate commercial, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid health plans based on measures of clinical quality, patient experience and outcomes. The 2026 ratings are based primarily on 2025 performance data.
NCQA is a private, nonprofit organization that measures and accredits health care plans. NCQA ratings are based on dozens of measures that assess how each plan performs when it comes to prevention and population health, treatment, and the patient experience.
