05/10/24 Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash (Photo) - 05/13/24

INCIDENT: Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

INCIDENT DATE AND TIME:  May 10th, 2024 at 3:52pm

REPORTING DEPUTY:  Lieutenant Jim Geiger

DECEASED:  Justine Nord, 39-Years-Old

CASE NUMBER:  24-10003

DETAILS:

On May 10, 2024, at 3:52pm Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, AMR, Rural Metro, and OSP responded to mile post 2.5 on Winona Road for a report of a single vehicle crash with the occupant trapped in the vehicle. Once on scene, AMR determined the female passenger, Justine Nord was deceased inside the overturned vehicle. 

The driver told deputies they stopped to help another disabled vehicle. They stated they were outside of their vehicle when it began rolling northbound on Winona Road down the hill.  The vehicle subsequently left the roadway, rolling over, trapping Justine inside where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Next of kin has been notified.
